FULL PERSONALITY:
I'm tough. That's all there is too it I guess. I've had to be ever since I figured out that I couldn't live in that peaceful, lawful world that my folks lived in. I like a little chaos in my life. I'm a natural a shooting, and I'm awfully good at stealth operations. People never expect a girl to be the one who'll kill you. Odd that people think that way, huh?
Secretly though, I have a bit of a soft side. But if you tell anyone I'll have to kill you. I miss my Dad, and he'd probably my one and only weak spot. The chip in my armor, you know? The locket that I always wear around my neck is from him.
I'm really bad with emotional stuff, and terrible at admitting my feelings in any way, shape, or form. I can be conniving and somewhat cruel to people at times. I've put up walls around myself to keep people out. I can't really help it. No one gets in close, it makes me feel safe I guess. On that note, I also have some commitment issues. I enjoy a good fling, but no one really stays around to long.[/font]

FULL HISTORY:
April first nineteen fifteen. That was a happy day for my parents at the time. After four long years, they had finally managed to have another child. They named me after my grandmother, and I was brought up in a pretty normal middle class household.
Dad was a cop, and devoted to his work, and when I was little Mama was forever going to this function or that one. You see, Mama came from old money, so she knew everyone. Dad got a bit of respect too, even though he had worked hard all of his life. But Granddaddy liked him, so he got in with Mama's crowd.
Granddaddy died when I was seven, and Mama inherited everything, since she was his only child. It didn't really change much though, since he'd always helped us out. Mama got into the flapper scene, and I remember always wanting to dress up in her clothes.
I was fourteen when there started to be problems. The depression hit alot of other people hard, and Mama's outlook changed. She started to volunteer all of the time, and she always wanted to drag me along with her. Then Juli joined the force, following in Dad's footsteps.
I withdrew. I didn't really like life at home anymore. I started to sneak out, and hang out with the neighborhood boys. I didn't necessarily try to pass off as a boy, but I'm not sure that they realized I was a girl either. They taught me all sorts of fun things, like picking locks and everything else.
As they group got older though, I realized that many of them were heading for a gang life.
I was seventeen when Mama realized that there was no way she was going to make a proper young lady out of me. Then she figured out that I could pick locks, and beat up a boy, and heck even shoot a bit. We got into a big argument, and I ran off.
Dad halfway kept in contact with me over the years. I fell in with the Volpecila Family early on. I wasn't even running with them for very long before I got into trouble. Frankie was the one who saved me, but Dad said he could never talk to me again, since well, he was on the opposite side of the cases he found himself working on.
It's been two years since then, and things are going well for me. I'm moving up in this world. I can't help it if I was meant for a life of crime.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
He let Vick go first, and Birdie couldnt decide weather she was relieved at this fact or offended. But then again, he had gotten here first. Vick launched into a version of "Strong" that was not so close to the band's original, and he was pretty good. Even she had to admit that. Part of her worried that he would be her undoing, but there was another part of her that told her she was more familiar with the music, and she could do this.
Jordan's comments bit as the young man finished his song. It was obvious that the singer wasn't happy with what had been done to his song. And then the drummer, Teagan, piped up with her thoughts. She had liked it, even though it was different.
She was up. She blushed a little bit as she walked up the the stage, and hooked up her own guitar. She made sure that it was in tune, and then looked out at the two band members, her old recital training kicking in. "I, um, I'm actually gonna play something that I wrote, and, um, I hope you like it." She managed, still more than a little bit red as she looked down at her strings.
She didn't do the vocals that she had written for it, only the guitar line. Brown Eyes sounded alot like their stuff, and it was something that she had channeled alot of her own hurt and dismay into in the last few months. If she'd sung the lyrics, they would have known that the song was about a brown eyed boy who'd walked away when she had screwed everything up. But she didn't let them hear the lyrics. Instead, she poured every feeling of lost and dismay into her playing, losing herself to the point that she hardly noticed the time that had passed when it was over and she looked up again.
There was a half smile, uncertain, for her audience as she tried to make out what they were thinking. She didn't say anything though. What was there to say? Anything that she could think of sounded terrible even in her head, and so she held her tongue and waited for what Jordan and Teagan would say about her playing.
